(Central News Agency Reporter He Xiu Ling, Taipei, December 28th) Royal Food, a subsidiary of edible oils giant Nanqiao Holdings, held its listing ceremony at the stock exchange today. Its brands include the Darlie series of ice cream and Nanqiao Sanuki IQF cooked noodles. Nanqiao Chairman Chen Feilong stated in an interview that Royal Food's products have a good market share in Taiwan, and the company will continue to develop new products with the goal of expanding into the global market in the future.

Zhou Mingfen, Chairwoman of Royal Koko, stated that the company has two main business lines. The first is frozen desserts, which account for approximately 70% to 80% of revenue, including brands such as Du Laoye Ice Cream and Kuangshi Qipai, as well as providing soft-serve ice cream contract manufacturing services for clients including FamilyMart, IKEA, and McDonald’s; the other is the production and sales of frozen cooked noodles, which account for approximately 20% to 30% of revenue.

Chen Feilong believes that ice cream is a business with long-term development potential, and fat, an important ingredient in ice cream, is key to Nanqiao's diversified business development.

Regarding the future development of frozen cooked noodles, Chen Feilong stated that the proportion of the global population whose staple food is rice is declining year by year, and noodle consumption continues to increase. This trend is not only in Taiwan and Japan but also in other countries. Therefore, he is very optimistic about the frozen cooked noodle market. With special technology and distribution channels for both B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumer) markets, he is confident in operating in the global market.

Zhou Mingfen pointed out that ice cream is a dessert, and frozen cooked noodles are a staple food. The former is mainly B2C, and the latter is mainly B2B. Royal Koka has these twin engines, and there is broad space for mutual support in the future, whether it is directly serving consumers in the retail market or serving catering clients.

Royal Coca-Cola reported revenue of NT$1.268 billion for the first half of this year, with net profit attributable to owners of the parent company totaling approximately NT$285 million—a year-over-year increase of more than 20.31%. Earnings per share (EPS) stood at NT$4.08. (Editor: Pan Yijing)
